چکیده

Eucalyptus has become one of the most widely planted genera in world because its tolerance to a wide range soil types and climates, as well for many industrial, commercial medicinal uses. torquata Luehm. is plantation species frequently semi-arid arid regions ecological, forestry, ornamental melliferous interests. Based on literature, drought this was mostly directed adaptation mechanisms. Physiological investigations reveal importance stomatal closure increased solute contents suggesting that osmotic adjustment main responses E. torquata. On other hand, it showed low sensitivity salt stress. This paper also highlights immense benefits which contains essential oils with variable chemical composition rich essentially 1,8-cineole, torquatone, α-pinene, trans-myrtanol, α-eudesmol, β-eudesmol, globulol, trans-pinocarveol aromadendrene. These oils, methanol aqueous extracts possess variety bioactivities great are particularly valuable antibacterial antifungal agents have strong toxicity against insects mites addition antiproliferative cytotoxic effects different cancer cells.
